Senior Quantity Surveyor - Central London (Embankment)

The Role: As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will have the opportunity to lead on a variety of exciting projects mainly within heritage, arts, healthcare, education and other public sector fields, providing a full QS service from RIBA stages 0-7.

Within this role, you will also be contributing to their sustainable practices and growth, working closely with project stakeholders to ensure a successful project delivery is within budget and time constraints.

They are looking for someone who’s passionate in helping develop their established QS function, driving the service forward in what they think is an exciting period of growth!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring smooth delivery of the London QS services and supporting their regional offices

  • Supporting junior colleagues with their work

  • Leading on projects ranging from £1M – £20M in value

  • Supporting in lead generation through repeat work with clients or assisting with bid writing and presenting at interview

  • Contribution to Financial Management / oversight of effective team resource deployment and profitability

  • Potential to cross over into PM, CA, and/or EA roles if interested

  • Application of Life Cycle Costing (In house training will be provided if necessary)

Office Location: Central London (Embankment)

Head Count: 70+

Project Sectors: Heritage, Arts, Healthcare, Education & Local Authority 

 

Requirements for the Senior Quantity Surveyor:

  • 7+ years’ experience with a UK based property / construction consultancy (ideally)

  • MRICS chartered (highly desirable, but not essential)

  • JCT Contract Administration

  • Experience in one of their listed sectors
