Project Manager - Central London (Monument)

The Client: An established, independent, multi-disciplinary consultancy with over 60 years of experience delivering projects across the built environment.

Covering project management, building surveying, cost management and independent monitoring throughout seven UK offices. 

 

The Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Project Manager seeking exposure to complex and challenging projects. This role offers personal accountability for smaller schemes alongside shared responsibility on major developments, providing a transparent pathway for career progression within an expanding consultancy.

The position is ideally suited to an established Project Manager, or a driven Assistant Project Manager ready to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will thrive in an environment where they are trusted to manage projects and nurture client relationships independently, whilst benefiting from the guidance and mentorship of experienced senior leaders.

Collaborating with a forward-thinking team, the successful candidate will help oversee a diverse and engaging project portfolio, including:

  • Grade I & II listed buildings refurbishment works

  • High-rise residential cladding remediation and building safety improvement programmes in occupied buildings

  • Film Studios and Production Facilities

  • Office/Commercial Fitout

  • Student Accommodation

  • Mixed-use redevelopments

You will be trusted to lead smaller projects with senior support, typically ranging from £100K– £1M, while also assisting senior colleagues on larger commissions valued between £1M– £40M+.

You'll be given the autonomy to manage projects, build client relationships and make decisions, whilst receiving the support needed to continue developing professionally.

Project Sectors: Heritage, Residential, Film Studios, Commercial Offices, Student Accommodation and Mixed-Use

 

Requirements for the Project Manager:

  • Hold a degree in Construction, Real Estate, Surveying or equivalent

  • 2+ years’ experience with a UK based property / construction consultancy (ideally)

  • Are already operating at Project Manager level, or are a high-performing Assistant Project Manager ready for the next step (or equivalent)

  • Have some experience procuring contractors and managing tender processes

  • Are proactive, organised and solutions-focused

  • Enjoy building relationships and working collaboratively

  • Have strong verbal, written, and electronic communication and report-writing skills

  • Are actively working towards, or have already achieved, a professional industry-relevant qualification or chartership such as APM PMQ, APM ChPP, MRICS, MCIOB, or similar
