Associate Director - Central London (Monument)

The Client: An established, independent, multi-disciplinary consultancy with over 60 years of experience delivering projects across the built environment.

Covering project management, building surveying, cost management and independent monitoring throughout seven UK offices.  

 

The Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a forward-thinking Associate Director seeking exposure to complex, high-profile projects. This position moves past traditional project delivery, offering a pivotal role in driving the strategic growth of an expanding consultancy.

The position is perfectly suited to an existing Associate Director, or a highly motivated Senior Project Manager ready for their next step. The ideal candidate will look beyond day-to-day project management to actively build a team, nurture key client relationships, inform commercial decisions, and help steer the company's future.

Collaborating directly with the senior leadership team, the successful candidate will enjoy significant visibility, autonomy, and strategic influence, whilst overseeing a diverse and engaging project portfolio, including:

  • Grade I & II listed buildings refurbishment works

  • High-rise residential cladding remediation and building safety improvement programmes in occupied buildings

  • Film Studios and Production Facilities

  • Office/Commercial Fitout

  • Student Accommodation

  • Mixed-use redevelopments

 

Office Location: Central London (Monument)

Head Count: 100+

Project Sectors: Heritage, Residential, Film Studios, Commercial Offices, Student Accommodation and Mixed-Use

 

Requirements for the Associate Director:

  • Hold a degree in Construction, Real Estate, Surveying or equivalent

  • Be professionally qualified or chartered, with RICS, CIOB, APM or similar

  • 6+ years’ experience with a UK based property / construction consultancy (ideally)

  • Have strong commercial awareness and business development acumen

  • Can demonstrate experience procuring and managing multidisciplinary design teams

  • Proficient at Contract Administration using the JCT suite of contracts (among others) and can demonstrate experience dealing with and resolving complex contractual situations

  • Be an effective leader, communicator and relationship builder

  • Enjoy mentoring others and contributing to team growth

  • Be motivated by the opportunity to help shape a growing business
